Reduce, reuse, recycle? SMM is on it!

You may have seen some of our social media posts about how we love to find creative ways to use our leftover project products, and if not, now you know- WE ARE HERE FOR THE CHALLENGE!!!!

We always share about how community outreach and connection are really important to us at Savage Masonry Mailboxes. And while we absolutely love all of our projects that help you beautify and upgrade your home aesthetic, it’s safe to say we also love any chance to be creative and give back to the community we live in, in fun and creative ways! So, led by a 7-year-old’s drawing and Pawpaw’s know-how, our most recent recyclable project is now nestled safely under some large trees as the newest home addition to the Fairy Garden at Francis Park.

Not only did we get to use up some remaining project pieces, but two generations of Savage family masonry lovers got to build this adorable (and quite sturdy) fairy house together. A huge part of why we agreed to go into business as a family was the fact that we all really enjoy being together. In the time we’re gathered, Pawpaw’s workshop is a constant source of fascination for all of his grandkids. While no one is quite ready to become an apprentice bricklayer just yet, any chance they get to learn, play, and get messy- they are up for! This project was so fun to watch come to life, and now you all can see it any time you want- proudly standing at the top of the Fairy Garden village for all to see, and according to the child who designed it, for all fairies to shelter in during inclement weather. I think we can all rest easier knowing that the famous Francis Park Garden Fairies are safe and that Pawpaw’s masonry skills have been put to some important use.

We highly recommend taking your kiddos by the park to check it out or to build your own fairy house to add to the magic too. Send us a picture if you do; we’d love to see others bringing smiles to the garden and finding joy in elevating our community experiences in fun and simple ways! And if you have any fun project ideas or community fun we can join in on, please share, we appreciate the opportunities and the ideas.

Here is to a November rooted in gratitude, playfulness, and fulfillment. And as always, if we can design something to elevate your home aesthetic, like garden planters or fresh mailbox curb appeal; or take something off your to-do list with repairs to your chimney, driveway, or other brickwork- please reach out! We’d love to bring your vision to life or give a sprucing up that reflects the way you care and value the investment in your home!
